I want to learn more about the Asian American experience, including (but not limited to) internment camps and current discussions about being Asian American in the US.  Any advice about articles, books, movies, etc would be much appreciated!

As someone deeply concerned about civil rights and also over-criminalization and incarceration, I find the debate about hate crimes legislation to be really interesting....over on The Bilerico Project, the discussion continues about the Matthew Shepard Act.
