Very cool graphic design posts, h/t WBS.

The wisdom of Christopher Walken.

It's so easy to forget all the ways in which the poor are penalized.  This article is a reminder.  "Poor? Pay Up. Having Little Money Often Means No Car, No Washing Machine, No Checking Account And No Break From Fees and High Prices."

Above The Law is a little late on the uptake, but nice to see some coverage anyways: Massachusetts Supreme Court Rescinds Clerkship Offers.

Bike sharing in Montreal.

Upsetting in so many ways.  People would rather sit in ignorance and denial than protect young people from violence?  Amazing.  "South Carolina's been working on a bill to educate teens about relationship violence, since the state ranks pretty high when it comes to men who kill women. They've been debating this over the past week, and the stickler has been whether gay relationships would be discussed in the program. Because heaven forbid gay teens learn how to avoid relationship violence."

"Ethan McNAmee, a third-grader at Montclair Elementary School in Denver, organized a rally for marriage equality and delivered a speech at the Colorado State Capitol on Saturday." It is sort of weird to see such a young kid rallying for gay rights, but I remember feeling pretty worked up about politics as a kid, so....I think we forget that kids do have an understanding about what's going on and a sense of justice.  Also, I'm a sucker for cute kids.
