The American Craft Beer Fest is coming to Boston this weekend - and I'll be taking a break from Bar studying to hit it up on Saturday.  Yay for craft beers!

Beautiful and unique, if expensive, ruby ring.

Inmates Sewing Symbol of Freedom: "Several states have passed laws mandating that any flags flown at government buildings must be made in the United States. Maryland not only uses domestically-produced flags, it also makes them in their state. In their state prisons, that is."

Don't think I have the guts to rock them, but I'm loving the look of body chains.

More loveliness from Bona Drag.

I love Roz Chast!

Yes, please to cute, colorful bento boxes to carry lunch in...

What I Do At Work When I'm Supposed To Be Working.

Some love for beautiful Jacksonville, Oregon - can't wait to go home in August!

From Ms. JED: "The Georgia Supreme Court has overturned a divorce court order barring a father’s three youngest children from having contact with his gay and lesbian friends."

"Judge Sotomayor's nomination to the Supreme Court has instigated a lot of conversation about the demographics of judicial nominees - males versus females, Hispanics versus non-Hispanics, Protestants versus Catholics. However, I think that it should inspire a conversation about the serious bias that exists in judical appointments, both locally and nationally, which has had a devastating impact on the quality of justice over the last 20 to 30 years. That bias is the fact that criminal defense attorneys don't get nominated to the bench."
