
Thirteen people were arrested yesterday while in Alabama non-violently protesting the anti-immigrant laws passed there. One of them was Jamie Limon Guzman (pictured left), a young man I had the honor of meeting and speaking with on a number of panels recently. A hard working and intelligent father and husband, Jamie risked his own arrest and possible deportation in order to speak out against racist and unconstitutional laws. I can hardly think of a more American action to take. More info here from the
